Todos Santos Food Scene

A cozy corner inside of La Morena

Todos Santos may be a small sleepy beach town, but it does not lack in it’s food scene - farm to table is the name of the game in our magical little town. From traditional Mexican food to some of the finest Italian spots, it’s got it all.

Some things to note:

  1. Check to make sure the restaurant is open. This has happened to us on many occasions where we look at google and think, OK, cool it’s open - and nope, it’s not. Check Facebook and instagram pages or call to make sure they are open. And even then, sometimes you might get it wrong, so we encourage living into that Baja lifestyle and find a new spot to try.

  2. Make a Reservation. Some of the popular spots can fill up and you definitely don’t want to miss out. So, when in doubt, make a reso.

  3. Baja Midnight is 9pm. Places close pretty early, there isn’t much of a nightlife in Todos, so make sure you get there early.

  4. Cash or Card. Most places take credit cards these days, but some food carts and smaller shops might be cash only, so best to come prepared.

Let’s get into the good stuff and talk about some of our favorite places (in no particular order) in Todos Santos which is about a 5 minute drive from Casa Suerte.

Jazamango

Farm to table goodness. An open air restaurant at the edge of town is a complete culinary experience. Food from the renowned Mexican chef, Javier Plascencia, will definitely appease the foodie in your group.

La Morena

This is our personal favorite spot. The back patio is delightful and they have some of the best tacos around. I'm vegan - the tofu tacos are insane - but they also have fish tacos and other types too ;). P.S. Get the chips and guacamole.

Oystera

The name says it all - A classic oyster bar with a twist of modern, showcasing the best local produce available an oyster in a renovated Sugar Refinery.

Benno at Hotel San Cristobal

Probably one of the best meals in Todos. The food, service, the surroundings - all of it. The perfect kind of date night spot. Higher end and plan to spend a bit $$$. Make a reservation on open table.

DUM

This eclectic place known for its excellent gastronomy, is located in an impressive oasis of palm trees. A Mediterranean elevated dining experience created by the famous Chef Aurelien Legea.

La Casita Tapas + Wine Bar

Unassuming spot with some of the yummiest food. The sushi is some of the best in the area. They were super accommodating of my vegan ways. We love this low key spot - fresh, local and quality food.

Plaza Amigos

A food hall in the downtown- yes please! Something for everyone - features Barracuda, Shakti Bowl, Froyo and more! We love this place! Perfect when you can’t make a decision as a group.

Tres Galline

When you're craving some fresh Italian pasta (I mean homemade) - Tre Galline is your spot.

Jazamango Cafe

The more casual and affordable Jazamango. Farm to table goodness from the renowned Mexican chef, Javier Plascencia. Beautiful back yard patio and delicious food. Serving breakfast and lunch.

Doce Cuarenta Café

Cafe in a serene setting. Onsite coffee roasting. Open all day - breakfast thru dinner. From quiche to hummus toast, this place something for everyone to start and finish their day. (wine + drinks too).

That’s our Todos Santos food scene round up - I am sure there are so many that I haven’t touched upon. These are our top go-to’s when we are in town. We feel SO fortunate to have all of these amazing establishments so close to Casa Suerte - there is no shortage of good food to be had. Buen Provecho.
